Looking for harmony in Mexico

January 24, 20252 min read

Our first trip in looking to create more harmony in our lives took us to Mexico. We flew into Puerto Vallarta and then drove 1 hr to the charming town of Sayulita. Sayulita is a tourist paradise, a small Mexican village built on a hill surrounding a beautiful white sand beach in a bay on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. We spent 4 nights enjoying the food, the local art, long walks on the beach and visiting the surrounding towns in the area. This busy town close to Puerto Vallarta was a fun first stop in our discovery of the area.  It gave us a feel of life in Mexico but with a lot of tourists.  Not the place for us and a great place for us to touch base.

Our second stop was Ricon de Guayabitos (“the nook of small guavas” if you try to translate the name). This is another beach community further up the coast with a much longer and wider sandy beach.  It has a town right next to it only being separated by a river which makes it look even bigger and busier. As much as Sayulita has attracted Europeans and Canadians with its art, food and proximity to Puerto Vallarta, Guayabitos attracts mostly Mexican tourists and Canadien snowbirds. Apparently the Mexican middle class is growing and love their vacations on the beach as much as many others which gives Guayabitos a very different feel from Sayulita.

Our third stop is La Cruz y Miramar even further north, 90 min from Guabayitos and a couple hours from Puerto Vallarta.  This is a small fishing village where our host told us “not many tourist come here”.  “Can we eat in town tonight?…Ah, no, but in the town next over you can.”  I (Emma) am curious to explore this area, go deeper in nature and further from concrete civilization.

I look around in Mexico and I see that Harmony I am looking for. How people smile, laugh, connect, are happy to chat, and relaxed. How the dogs (and cats) live their lives freely amongst us without leashes and containers. How the tourists are somewhat separated from the locals but enjoying the contact and their needing each other’s presence, a dance. How nature is ever present here, the trees, the local food that is available, the natural open beaches, the whales, the crocodiles (Felipe is the local crocodile in Santa Cruz), the roosters that chant at dawn. A different rhythm of life. An Harmony that I will have to adapt to if I choose to live here.

What helps me most is using my healing and growing tools and having Burton use his tools on me to help me release fears, connect, trust that I am highly adaptable and that I can manifest the life I want.

We are now traveling healers, reach out to us, we would love to help you reach your next level of Vitality.
