Benefits of feeling Love

The word “love” is multi-faceted.  It pops up in both casual and serious conversations.  It pops up during heavy and light emotions.  It can be used for referring to such things as chocolate or our spouse.  There is the word “love”, and then there is the feeling of “love”.  What we focus on in this blog is the feeling of love and how we can experience it more fully in our lives by recognizing all the opportunities we have daily to experience love.

Pure Love is not an emotion that comes and goes.
Pure Love is a vibration/energy that resides within us.

We are energy beings living in an energy world where energies are constantly interacting.  Everything is Energy because everything is made up of energy.  We believe, and many prominent schools of thought, that love is the highest form of energy.  We normally think of Love as an emotion of strong affection towards someone or something, but love can also be seen as a form of energy.  Matter as we know it is just energy slowed down to the point our senses can perceive it.  Even the most solid objects are built from energy in the atomic bonds that hold atoms together. We are surrounded by energy. We ourselves are energy. The primal source of this energy is love.

Just like any energy love is also created, transferred, and received.  The amount of it is what defines our level of happiness and our openness to experiencing other emotions. There are 4 main types of love energy A) one that we receive from your mother, father, or your close family B) one that we receive from our close friends C) one that we get from our partner or lover. D)and one that we create on our own, also known as self-love.

Some benefits of feeling Love:

1.  Love makes you happy-When you first fall in love, dopamine, the feel-good brain chemical associated with reward, is especially active

2. Love is a stress buster-after the honeymoon phase subsides, all of that dopamine starts to share real estate with another brain chemical: oxytocin, or the bonding hormone. That not only gives you “warm and fuzzy” feelings for your partner, but it is good for your health

3. Love eases anxiety – Quite a few studies have pointed out that loneliness can hurt your health, from increasing inflammation to activating pain centers.  Being in love and feeling close to another person can overcome anxiety.

4. Love makes you take better care of yourself – Having a partner makes you want to take care of yourself for them.  And a partner will help by noticing signs of allergies or other persistent health problems before the you do.

5. Love helps you live longer – Married couples in Love have been found to have lower rates of substance abuse, lower blood pressure, and less depression than single peers.

Is experiencing love easy for you?

When do you? / In what ways do you experience love?

One way Emma experiences love is when she is in nature, or even just walking our dog in our neighborhood feeling loved by creation and having love for the planet.
